Using Web-Based Technology to Target Areas Needing Improvement

Today's classes were held primarily in the computer lab where we were able to sample two different math websites and utilize activities that helped students come to a better understanding of specific math concepts.

The two websites were:

www.explorelearning.com and www.shodor.org

The activities targeted the following topics which are integral to student success this year and beyond:

Order of Operations
Writing Variable Expressions
Fraction, Decimal and Percent Equivalencies
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division of Integers

I encourage students to explore these sites further and use such means to master concepts while having fun.
