Students were issued a new book yesterday titled The Shapes of Algebra which essentially highlights topics where the ideas of algebra and geometry collide. We began our investigations with an exploration into circles and trying to find ways to write equations for them. This inquiry is ongoing and tonight's home nugget falls into the category of further exploration of this topic. Students are advised to spend as much time as possible considering the questions assigned this evening and responding to the questions as best they can.
