Taking Test #2 of the First Term

Students were given the opportunity to revisit what should be at this point, familiar topics, on a twenty question test today.

Topics included:

  • integer operations (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing the counting numbers and their opposites)
  • exponential notation and basic exponent operations
  • writing variable expressions
  • evaluating expressions using order of operations

Students were handed back Test #1 of the first term and are encouraged to share results with their families. In addition, warning notice lists were submitted to the registrar today and all students who presently have grades that average to a D or F were included. Parents should be on the lookout for these within the next week or two.

Today's Home Nugget continues our commitment to practicing reoccuring themes that students must master on order to be successful in the long term.
