Home Nugget #2
Assigned on Monday May 5, 2008
Due on Tuesday May 6, 2008
From Additional Practice Sheets handed out in class today,
all problems on both sides (pages 143 and 144)
You must show the math work for ALL problems including graphs for #1 a -e
You must also give a representative explanation for each group of problems. For instance, there is a group of 6 right triangle problems which are essentially identical to one another. Rather than provide 6 redundant explanations, craft one comprehensive explanation that covers all 6 problems. It would include mention of how one would use the Pythagorean Theorem to find missing side lengths and how one's strategy should change depending on whether you have both legs or one leg and a hypotenuse.
FCAs
2 points: all problems genuinely attempted in their entirety
2 points: abundant evidence that quality time and effort were spent thinking about, responding to and presenting solutions
