Students engaged one another in conversation and exploration during today's class, specifically for the purpose of understanding how to write equations for a number of quadratic scenarios. These included the handshake problem and triangular and rectangular numbers. We agreed that these conversations were needed in order for students to feel more capable in completing home nugget #25. For this reason the lesson is being re-assigned.
