Students have embarked on an exploration of their third major math relationship this year, that of quadratic relationships. In just two days they have been exposed to and worked on creating quadratic tables of data, graphs and one version of a quadratic equation. In the coming days and weeks we will dig underneath the surface and uncover what makes these relationships unique and whether they are related in any significant way to the linear and exponential relationships we have been immersed in.
Today also marked a more-than-halfway point in the 3rd term and students took their first 100-point test on the entire content in Growing, Growing, Growing. They found that all questions were based and taken from the more than 150 problems they have solved in the course of exploring the book.
