Welcome 7th grade students, parents and families to the 2007-2008 school year at the John D. O'Bryant High School!
As you are new to our school community, you will find that the first two days of classes will serve as an orientation to school routine, rules, expectations and general structure. This weblog will typically serve as a place where each evening's homework (or as I call them, home nuggets) will be posted along with the lesson's specific grading criteria, known as the focus correction areas or FCAs.
From time to time, this weblog will also serve as a notice board for announcements regarding what is happening in the classroom.
Students receive a great deal of introductory paperwork in the beginning of the school year and I have provided copies of some of these documents at the links that follow. Should you wish to contact me with questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at nkhodjat@gmail.com

The first homework assignment (known as the home nugget) of the school year can be found at the following link:

In the future, home nuggets will usually be presented directly on the blog page.
Future postings will cover specific content goals, instructional approaches and other info, including links to grading software that I use to keep you informed at all times of class grades throughout the year.
Here's wishing everyone a successful and enlightening school year!
Cheers,
Mr. Nikan Hodjat
