Summary:
Students took the Boston Public Schools' mid-year exam during class today. The test was comprised of 20 questions in all; 17 multiple-choice and 3 open-response. They had only one class period in which to complete the exam which covered topics taught from September to the present.
Students expressed great confidence with concepts and topics that were tested and hopefully used the exam as an indication of how much they have learned in the past few months.
This weekend's assignment is simple and straightforward because we are going to re-establish the norm of notetaking and notekeeping in our math class. Students will be provided with a rubric on Monday by which their math binder will be graded at the end of term 3. This concept is meant to continue to help facilitate successful transition of our middle schoolers to a high school setting.
Home Nugget #22
Students must bring in a 3 - ring binder that contains only clean filler paper that will be used for math class ONLY. Binders will be checked on Monday for a home nugget grade. 8 points will be deducted from a student's overall home nugget point total for every day they neglect to bring the binder to class.
FCAs
None (A binder which satisfies the requirements receives a 4. Anything less is a 0)
