Using the Graphing Calculator to Better Understand Graph and Equation Models

Students generated a new set of 'messy' data today by recording the bounce heights of a ping-pong ball dropped from various measured heights. Our goal is to create math models that can organize and help explain this data. Our tools are the graph model (essentially a straight line that is drawn through as many data points as possible) and an equation model (a linear equation based on the trend or pattern in the coordinate pairs).
