Practice MCAS Session II

Students and parents are owed an explanation as to why we are administering an MCAS practice test so early in the school year.

In previous years, under a different schedule with shorter classes, students had an MCAS prep class available to them at certain grade levels. The courses are no longer offered and so we are in search of pre-assessment data to better inform our instruction. The practice test students are taking will have no negative bearing on their term or overall grade, rather will serve as a benchmark with which they can compare their scores on the actual test in May.
